How To Treat Adult Acne

September 29th, 2009

Adult acne is a complicated thing. Some would even say it’s worse than teenage acne, not only because the embarrassment factor is much higher. I mean actually, it’s harder in that way, because who really wants to be trying to establish a professional look while having to battle acne either in the background or more extreme measures. Moreover, actually speaking, there are more severe types of acne that never really manifest themselves until adulthood. So this does make adult acne worse.

But just like teenage acne, there is no established cause of adult acne, just contributors. With this in mind, there is no cure for acne, because you have to ultimately determine the cause to cure anything. This is just one of those things that cannot be cured and though they continue to do the research, you will have to wait around and use good treatments.

So can you cure adult acne? No. You have to wait to grow out of it just as you would with teen acne. There are some people who will ultimately never actually grow out of their adult acne. It happens to the best of us, and it’s something that is best understood and accepted so that you can get on the road to properly treating it.

This being said, the best acne treatments for adults are actually the best acne treatments for teenagers as well. They are all natural, and though salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide are extremely common, they do not actually qualify. Instead, there are those like tea tree oil and bentonite clays that have been proven extremely effective. It’s just best to know all the facts before you really approach it.
